Joint Venture ("we," "us," "the platform") provides operational-intelligence software to licensed cannabis operators. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using the platform you agree to this policy.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the businesses that subscribe to Joint Venture and the authorized users at those businesses who access the platform. Joint Venture is a business-to-business tool; it is not directed at consumers or the general public.

2. Information we collect

Account information — company name, user names and email addresses, and login credentials you create.
Operational business data — the data you connect or upload so the platform can analyze your operation: inventory, sales, transfers, harvests, adjustments, purchase orders, employee performance figures, and similar records.
Connected-service data — when you authorize a connection (for example your compliance system, point-of-sale system, or accounting system), we retrieve the records needed to power your analytics.
Financial / accounting data via QuickBooks Online — if you connect QuickBooks Online through Intuit, we access accounting records such as bills, invoices, purchases, vendors, customers, items, and profit-and-loss figures, and may write back records you explicitly ask the platform to create (such as a bill or invoice).
Usage information — basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use your information

To provide the platform's analytics, briefings, reconciliation, and reporting features.
To display your own connected data back to you and answer your questions about your business.
To create accounting records in your connected systems only when you explicitly instruct the platform to do so.
To maintain, secure, support, and improve the service.

4. Intuit / QuickBooks Online data

When you connect QuickBooks Online, you authorize the connection through Intuit's secure OAuth sign-in — we never see or store your Intuit password. We store only encrypted access tokens that let the platform read and, at your explicit request, write records on your behalf. We use QuickBooks data solely to provide the platform's features to you, the account owner. We do not sell QuickBooks data, and we do not use it for advertising. You can disconnect QuickBooks at any time from within the platform, which revokes the connection and clears the stored tokens.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your data. We do not share your business data with other customers. We share information only with the infrastructure and service providers required to run the platform (for example secure hosting), and only as needed to deliver the service, or when required by law.

6. Data security

Connection tokens and sensitive keys are encrypted at rest. Access to the platform requires authentication. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you disconnect a service, the associated access tokens are deleted. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

8. Your choices

You control which systems you connect and can disconnect any of them at any time.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
